Getting here
Welcome to the 2010 National Eisteddfod website, the place to come for the latest information on the preparations for the festival. The Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys National Eisteddfod is held at The Works, Ebbw Vale from 31 July to 7 August 2010.
This is the first time that the Eisteddfod has been held in the area for over half a century, when Ebbw Vale was home to the festival in 1958.
The old steelworks on the outskirts of the town is home to the Eisteddfod this time, a site which plays an integral role in both local and national industrial history.
Click on the document on the right of this page to download our latest brochure which includes information on the concerts and what to expect when you reach the Eisteddfod. If you want to join our database, fill in the registration form here or email us - gwyb@eisteddfod.org.uk. Click here to buy tickets.

The Maes is easy to find and is in a very convenient location. Minutes from the A465, The Maes is less than 45 minutes from the centre of Cardiff, an hour from Swansea, less than two hours from Aberystwyth and less than three hours from both Bala and Wrexham. It is easy to reach from both the M4 and the A470 and we will include full details on how to reach the Maes on this page closer to the Eisteddfod itself.
Arriva Wales runs a regular service to to and from Ebbw Vale Parkway from Cardiff. For more details click here.
