There's a whole range of activities available for children of all ages at the National Eisteddfod.  The first weekend is particularly aimed at children and families. 

In 2009, the Eisteddfod itself, stallholders and partners organised over 600 activities for children and families during the week.

This section will include details of acitivities for children and families on the Maes, as well as local events organised as part of the preparations for the Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys National Eisteddfod. 

We also hope to develop trails for children around the Maes, showing which activities are available in which stand.

10,000 children in the Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys area have already received an activity book, full of information about the Eisteddfod and lots to do.
