The National Eisteddfod is Wales’ largest cultural festival, based on 800 years of tradition. Everything is held through the medium of Welsh and the stallholder must therefore respect these rules by having Welsh speaking staff available at all times and to also ensure that the majority of pamphlets, etc on the stand will be in Welsh or bilingual.

The Eisteddfod which attracts about 160,000 visitors annually is held in a different location each year.

The Maes

At the centre of the Maes you will find the main pavilion where various competitions, the Gorsedd ceremonies and evening concerts are all held. There are also numerous smaller pavilions around the Maes such as the Visual Arts Exhibition, the literature tent, dance hall, sports area as well as the Science and Technology pavilion, a Welsh learners centre and a theatre. Surrounding them all are well over 300 varying tradestands including Welsh crafts of all kinds, bookshops, jewellers, galleries, musical instruments etc.

There is an Eisteddfod caravan site which is located close to the Maes which attracts thousands of enthusiastic Eisteddfod-goers for the week.

If you would like to promote your business to a large Welsh market, you can do so at the Eisteddfod for a very reasonable cost.

Many shops and companies choose the Eisteddfod to gain national exposure and to sell their goods.
Some decide to launch their company at the Eisteddfod. All the major Welsh institutions as well as professional, voluntary and charity organisations are also present.

A number of options are available – you can hire 3m x 6m units, book space within the Exhibition Hall, hire a purpose built building or bring your own promotional vehicle or marquee.

Come to the Eisteddfod to promote your company – you won’t be disappointed !
