Gorsedd opportunities and the Llŷn and Eifionydd Eisteddfod

We have had to take the difficult decision to postpone the Ceredigion National Eisteddfod for a year.

 

Of course, there are also implications for the Llŷn and Eifionydd National Eisteddfod, which will be held a year later in 2022.

 

A number of people have applied to take part in the Gorsedd ceremonies locally, but we've had to put a stop to the selection process for now. The Gorsedd Board will now discuss the next steps, and this may take some time because of the constraints on everyone.

 

The next few months are going to be difficult for the Eisteddfod, and we will rely on the goodwill of our supporters and friends more than ever. This is a blow to us, as it is for a number of other organisations as well.  There will be an opportunity to discuss the impact of all this on the culture and arts in Wales at this difficult time.
