Llŷn ac Eifionydd National Eisteddfod Proclamation Ceremony to be held under cover at Ysgol Eifionydd, Porthmadog

Due to this morning's rain and the poor forecast for the afternoon, Gorsedd Cymru officials and Eisteddfod staff have decided to hold the Proclamation Ceremony indoors at Ysgol Eifionydd, Porthmadog
The Gorsedd Arwyddfardd, Dyfrig ab Ifor, said, “One of the first responsibilities of the Proclamation morning is to decide whether the Ceremony is to be held indoors or outside. Unfortunately, it’s already been raining this morning and forecasts are poor for the rest of the day, so we‘ll be holding the Ceremony at Ysgol Eifionydd at 15:00.
“Although we’re all extremely disappointed about this, we have to ensure the safety of everyone, so we’ll be holding the Ceremony in the school hall today. We’re grateful to everyone for their support and understanding.”
The Llŷn and Eifionydd National Eisteddfod will be held in Boduan from 5-12 August
